Director’s Report

1.

Fire Drill:

Staff had an impromptu drill yesterday after smelling and seeing smoke.  Fortunately, the smoke was caused by a faulty blower motor in the furnace. The motor was repaired yesterday.

2.

Summer Reading Program:

SRP concluded August 31. We had 410 kids, 19 YA, and 143 adults complete logs.

3.

Collection Updates:

We’re currently working to update our kids’ DVD collection.  Previously PG movies were shelved with the adult DVD’s—we’ve moved the majority of these to juvenile and withdrew over 100 old DVD’s which now will be replaced with more current offerings.
