DIRECTOR’S REPORT
September 2010

  1. Summer Reading Program stats:
There were 185 children who completed the children’s summer reading program, with 286 completed reading logs turned in (82 more than last year). For the adult and young adult reading program, there were 61 people who completed the program, with 101 completed reading logs turned in.

  1. New Phone System:
Elyssa needed to come up with a project proposing a systems solution for her “Systems Analysis & Management” library school class, so she’s investigating the cost of a new phone system for us. We end up having to buy replacement phones on eBay when ours go belly up, because they no longer make the phones we use. So we thought this would be a worthwhile project for her. As part of Elyssa’s project, she’s also investigating the cost of tying a new phone system into automated calling for our items that come up on hold in Follett.
